Summer Highlights from Team Triumph Triathlon Club

Team Triumphers Have Been Busy Training, Racing and Adventuring

It's been a busy Summer so far on the race scene and it's been great seeing everyone enjoying their fitness and putting it to the test in the water, on the bike and on the roads. For most of us in Team Triumph, being fit is not only about competing in triathlons, it's also about being able to go on adventures into the wild and rock climb, take the kids on a canoe camping trip, kayak, mountain bike, trail run in the Yukon or hike the highest peaks in the Arctic!

It's been such a joy to see all of the pictures of the various adventures. The pictures open the doors to possibilities for everyone. Below are some of the highlights in pictures from the Summer so far.

SUSAN OVERHOLT AT THE 9km PERTH KILT RUN
It was my first in 37277/1413 participants and years after taking up running this Spring with Team Triumph. I placed first in my age group 60-64; 8th in the women; 45.16 / pace 5:39.  I am well pleased!
CRISTINA AT THE REGENT'S PARK, LONDON 10km
Working hard but also playing hard! I had a great time racing. I did 55:37 - not a PB but the fastest time since 2014 :) It was incredibly hot 29C by the time we started. I've never been in London in this heat!
RENEE AT THE BRING ON THE BAY 4km SWIM
The Bring on The Bay is really a swimmers' race. Making the podium at this race is usually a dream for triathletes but for the 2nd time Renee made the podium and came in 3rd in her age category. Congratulations Renee!!

We also had a Summer Fun Program Challenge in July and Renee beat us all hands down! Every hour you swim, bike or run, you get a variety of points.
