Coaching Tools and Athlete Achievements

Julia utilises Training Peaks coaching software to design structured, customised, and group programmes for her athletes. Through her guidance, many athletes have achieved personal bests and have qualified for prestigious events such as Ironman Hawaii, triathlon world championships and the Boston Marathon. Julia’s commitment to continuous learning is reflected in her regular attendance at exercise physiology conferences and courses in swimming, cycling, running, nutrition, and endurance coaching.

Scientific Approach and Knowledge Sharing

With her scientific background, Julia remains inquisitive about emerging research in exercise physiology. She actively seeks out the latest findings and shares these insights with her athletes, enhancing their training and performance.

Leadership and Athletic Achievements

Julia served as Athletics Director at the Ottawa Athletic Club for nine years before founding Team Triumph in 1995. As a Gold medallist in badminton at the Pan-American Games, she has a long-standing appreciation for striving towards personal excellence.

Team Triumph and Community Engagement

Since establishing Team Triumph in 1995, Julia has developed a triathlon club with over one hundred members along with a professional team of coaches, managed corporate fitness contracts for local Ottawa businesses, and provided personal triathlon coaching and training. She continues to compete in triathlons and open water swimming events herself.
