Hearts of Gold - Olympic Hopeful Spotlight #1

Each Year Team Triumph endeavors to give back to its community by raising funds for an organization or individuals in need of financial support. In 2020 Tokyo will be hosting the Olympics so we have decided that we would like to support our future Ontario Olympians! We have identified 3 young athletes who are in need of a little extra funding this year and we would like to share a little about each of them with you.

Our first feature is a young skater Reese Rose.

Reese Rose is a 10-year-old National level figure skater, who represents the Gloucester Skating Club and is a member of the Skate Ontario competitive team.

In her short skating career, she has achieved a lot of success:

  • completing her gold level skills and free skate at the age of 9
  • competing at a National level at the age of ten.

She’s had a great competition season this year winning

  • gold medals at the Wild Rose competition in Edmonton
  • gold at Octoberfest and GTSA competitions
  • a silver medal at the Skate Ontario Sectional Championship and
  • making it to her first National Championships in Edmonton.

This season she will be training for the Skate Canada National Championships that will be held in British Columbia, where she will compete at the Novice level against skaters 17 and under.

Reese also has big hopes and dreams of competing at the World and Olympic level in the near future.

She is an impressive young lady, and we are happy to support her in her dreams.
