MEECH LAKE TRIATHLON CHALLENGE
This week we also challenged you to do the Meech Lake Triathlon. Some were able to complete both challenges this week! Congrats to those who are injured and picked the sports they can do. That's the amazing thing about triathlon, you can usually find one sport that works!
Our overall top female prize goes to Stephanie Obaseki-Johnson who completed the 3 events in the fastest time even though she added an extra 1000m for added challenge on the swim.
The overall top male prize was a tight race! The top two were within 30 seconds of each other! So we went to the transition times just to compare and Brad Vlaming won it fair and square wth the faster transitions! Congrats to Brad and also to Glen with a close 2nd place!
Congrats to our members for completing all or part of the challenge, and thanks to their great support crews!

Sydenham Duathlon Luc Lapensee is not a confident swimmer yet but that is soon to change next week when he starts open water swim lessons with Coach Julia! He had the Sydenham Duathlon on his training plan for this season: congrats to Luc for challenging himself to do the 5km Run/40km Bike/5km Run on Sunday!
COMING UP....
BRING ON THE BAY 3K SWIM (WEEK OF JULY 6TH) Swim a continuous 3km OR 1500m. Be sure to invite your swim buddy and use a float. One option for the long swim would be to park at the boat launch and run back to O'Brien with your wetsuit, float, swim cap and goggles on your back then once you arrive, put your socks and shoes in your float and swim back to the boat launch. This could be great training for our Amphibian Challenge coming up soon!
Don't forget to let Julia know when you have completed one of our challenges, and send us your pictures upon completion of your challenge!!
HAVE A FIT AND FABULOUS WEEK!! |
