Fall is a wonderful time to run and hike, wouldn't you agree?
There is no better way to experience the changing colours of the season than to get outside and exercise surrounded by it all! Breathing in that crisp fresh air and taking a break from our screens is also good for our mental health. We had a bunch of athletes out at the Fall Colours Races in Cumberland, and by the looks of the photos, they were treated to some beautiful vistas!
A BIG congrats to Denise for winning her age category at the 5km race and to Maryanne Gillespie for placing 2nd in the 10km in her age cat. Congratulations also to Katie Dinelle and Annick Desrosiers for completing the Half marathon!
Meanwhile, in Nova Scotia, Triumph athlete Stuart Whittaker and Coach Klara both completed the Valley Harvest 10km in some speedy personal best times! Congratulations everyone!!
The Ironman World Championships in Hawaii proved again to be the ultimate Ironman test delivering high heat, humidity and strong winds. Congrats to Coach Maggie and Team Triumph friends Kris Plant and Amelia Decarie for getting it done with a smile! Unfortunately, Joanne Bezzubetz was stricken with a stomach bug the night before the race but still managed to finish the swim and 110km on the bike. Now that's mental toughness!!
Very very proud and inspired by our members on a daily basis.

I wanted to let you know that the Perth triathlon was a great experience, I somehow placed third in my age group! What a supportive group of participants (including Team Triumph athletes), cheering bystanders and volunteers. Thanks to your swim lessons, I learned the technical basics and gained confidence to get back in the pool after decades. And it was really special doing this with Ann Laidlaw, my bestie for many years. We did a couple of additional swims with Kevin and Team Triumph people, also a great way to continue learning and practicing good technical form.I will continue with lane swimming and who knows, maybe there's another triathlon in my future!
I love the accountability and the structure of the Virtual 70.3 Half Ironman training program. I don't think I would have gotten this far without the program. The accountability is huge for me!

My coach Kevin Willis is amazing. His swim practices have been a real game-changer for me. A great communicator regardless of your swim level. The whole club is supportive of everything you do. You don't need to be an Ironman to benefit from their programs. 5 stars all around!!! - Denise Pittuck
