Mont Tremblant/Canada Day and More.....Race Highlights from the Team

We had so many athletes ready to compete in Tremblant and what a disappointment it was when they discovered on race morning that their race was not meant to be due to the smoke that blanketed the area overnight. Now that the dust has settled and Ironman has offered up some great choices for alternatives, I think everyone is feeling more optimistic and have already set new goals. We have some doing Musselman and Barrelman, and others who are doing the Ironman in August so grab the opportunity to take a breather and now ramp up for your BIG race.

Fortunately, the 5150 race went ahead and we had a crew who competed their hearts out!

Coach Gabi who was also there to set up the tent and cheer you all on!!

The smoke cleared up just enough for the Canada Day Races last weekend. Congrats to Julie Matte who reported a PB for her 10km, and to Deborah Jackman and Tom Zinck, one of our newest members who is taking the Group Olympic Distance Program with us. I also saw Denise Pittuck did a virtual race. Well done everyone!!

Meanwhile, in Halifax, Team Triumpher Stuart Whittaker had a blast doing the Porter's Lake Triathlon. Way to go Stuart! Good luck with the next one in Malersby!

Race season is in full swing. Keep following for more race adventure reports to come. The team is just getting started.
