Athlete of the Week - Stephanie Bell: Conquering Triathlons with Team Triumph

Stephanie Bell, a distinguished Director at Bell Canada and a dedicated mother of three has shown that age is just a number when it comes to achieving one's goals. Her remarkable journey into the world of triathlons is nothing short of inspiring. In this edition of Athlete of the Week, we delve into her experiences, challenges, and victories that have made her a true role model for aspiring athletes.

Stephanie's initiation into the world of triathlons was not without its hurdles. She initially sought to shake up her fitness routine, only to find herself overwhelmed by the complexities of triathlon training. However, with the guidance of her friend Denise, she found her footing and embarked on a transformative journey.

This summer, Stephanie's dedication culminated in an impressive series of events, including the Early Bird Sprint and Perth Sprint, before achieving the remarkable feat of finishing the Canadian Olympic. Her determination and perseverance were evident in her rigorous training routine, which took her to various locations across Regina, Nashville, Whitby, Tremblant, and Toronto, where she discovered unique and challenging training spots.

However, her journey was not without obstacles. Balancing a hectic schedule filled with competitive ringette and hockey tournaments, she often found herself struggling to find the time for dedicated training. Moreover, she encountered a significant setback during the midpoint of her training, facing fatigue and muscle soreness. Yet, with the unwavering support of her loved ones, especially her daughter, she managed to surmount these challenges by incorporating scenic routes into her workouts, adjusting her meal plan, and maintaining a resilient mindset.

During her races, Stephanie confronted her anxieties head-on, particularly during her first open-water swim, where she had to contend with the chaos of the surrounding competitors. Nevertheless, through sheer determination and mental fortitude, she navigated these challenges, relying on her training to carry her through the toughest moments of the race.

Stephanie attributes much of her success to the invaluable support and guidance she received from Team Triumph. With Coach Kevin's exceptional swim sessions, Coach Dawn's insightful coaching, and Coach Gabi's valuable tips and tricks, she found herself well-prepared and confident in her abilities. Furthermore, the camaraderie within the team, as evidenced by the memorable moments with Julia and Gabi during her races, served as a constant source of encouragement and motivation.

As Stephanie reflects on her achievements, she remains proud of her ability to push through the grueling training period and rise to the challenge of the Olympic distance, a testament to her unwavering determination and resilience.

Here remarkable journey stands as a testament to the transformative power of dedication, perseverance, and the unwavering support of a strong community. Her story is a reminder that with the right mindset and a supportive team, any obstacle can be overcome, and any goal can be achieved.

She has undoubtedly set a shining example for all aspiring athletes, proving that with the right mindset and support, anything is possible. We celebrate Stephanie's unwavering spirit and commend her for being our Athlete of the Week!
