Eren Perez embodies the spirit of determination and resilience. This year's Boston Marathon was no exception as Eren faced unexpected obstacles with her signature no-quit attitude.
For Eren, running marathons isn't just a personal endeavour; it's a cherished tradition shared with her father. With the Boston Marathon marking her 4th time crossing its iconic finish line and her 16th marathon overall, Eren's journey is one of dedication and commitment.
However, around the 14-kilometre mark, adversity struck. Debilitating muscle cramps and heat stroke threatened to derail her progress, landing her in the medical tent after the race.
It was a simple yet powerful message displayed along the course that fueled her determination to finish: "One Day you won't be able to do this anymore and today is not that day." With those words echoing in her mind, Eren pressed on, refusing to let setbacks define her race.
Despite meticulous preparation, including hot yoga for heat adaptation and rigorous training, the unexpected can still occur in the gruelling marathon journey. But Eren's resilience knows no bounds. With unwavering perseverance, she pushed through the pain and crossed the finish line with an impressive time of 3:38:26.
Congratulations, Eren - your strength and tenacity inspire us all. As she embarks on a well-deserved adventure in Patagonia, hiking amidst breathtaking landscapes, Eren's spirit remains undaunted. And soon, she'll return, ready to tackle the challenges of Ironman season with the same fearless determination that defines her.

I love the accountability and the structure of the Virtual 70.3 Half Ironman training program. I don't think I would have gotten this far without the program. The accountability is huge for me!

My coach Kevin Willis is amazing. His swim practices have been a real game-changer for me. A great communicator regardless of your swim level. The whole club is supportive of everything you do. You don't need to be an Ironman to benefit from their programs. 5 stars all around!!! - Denise Pittuck
I just wanted to thank you and your team (Gabi! Brenda! Maggie! Dawn!) for making last weekend's event so amazing. I had tried to do a try-a-tri on my own last summer, and the experience was night and day.
Even though I didn't make every virtual session, I felt so prepared... I knew where to go for information, and I knew I had a team of people (coaches and our beginner tri group!) who were all there to support me.
It was interesting to watch Eric train on his own (without access to the TrainingPeaks workouts and without the weekly meetings to ask questions and learn more about proper form and race-day stuff). When we left on Sunday, he looked at me and was like "we're DEFINITELY doing the training with Julia if we decide to go for the olympic distance, right?".
So glad to have found this club and looking forward to many more triathlons in the near future!!! Tai Teleso
