This week Team Triumph kicked off our season with a bang with our triathlon transitions clinic. Ottawa graciously gifted us with a picturesque evening, ideal for bringing together our group program athletes. Against the backdrop of Blair Hill and the Aviation Parkway, Team Triumphers gathered to hone their transition skills in preparation for their upcoming races, notably the Early Bird Triathlon this weekend and the prestigious Tremblant 70.3 on the horizon. Coach Gabi led a stellar Transition Practice. Under her guidance, our athletes delved into techniques to seamlessly transition from one leg of the race to the next. With Gabi's expertise, we're confident that each participant will stride into their races with newfound confidence and finesse, poised to conquer their goals. But our triumphs didn't end there. On Saturday, Deborah Jackman and Julie Matte represented Team Triumph at the FLOWER FUN RUN RCAF Centennial 5km, hosted by Somersault Promotions. Their performances were nothing short of spectacular. Julie not only secured a personal record but also clinched victory in her age group, while Deborah secured a commendable second place in her own category. Their achievements serve as an inspiring prelude to what promises to be an electrifying race season ahead. Stay tuned for more updates, insights, and adventures as the race season progresses.

I wanted to let you know that the Perth triathlon was a great experience, I somehow placed third in my age group! What a supportive group of participants (including Team Triumph athletes), cheering bystanders and volunteers. Thanks to your swim lessons, I learned the technical basics and gained confidence to get back in the pool after decades. And it was really special doing this with Ann Laidlaw, my bestie for many years. We did a couple of additional swims with Kevin and Team Triumph people, also a great way to continue learning and practicing good technical form.I will continue with lane swimming and who knows, maybe there's another triathlon in my future!
I love the accountability and the structure of the Virtual 70.3 Half Ironman training program. I don't think I would have gotten this far without the program. The accountability is huge for me!

My coach Kevin Willis is amazing. His swim practices have been a real game-changer for me. A great communicator regardless of your swim level. The whole club is supportive of everything you do. You don't need to be an Ironman to benefit from their programs. 5 stars all around!!! - Denise Pittuck
