Another incredible Tremblant Training Camp is in the books! With perfect weather gracing the event, our dedicated campers were able to complete the entire program as planned. Huge congratulations to everyone who pushed their limits and trained their hearts out!
A Team Effort:
A massive shoutout goes to Coaches Kevin, Gabi, and Klara for their incredible dedication. They tirelessly coached as many campers as possible, ensuring everyone received expert guidance throughout the various routes.
Building a Strong Foundation:
The camp kicked off with a fantastic Nutrition Webinar led by Angela Beare, RD. She delved into the crucial world of fueling for the 70.3 distance, providing insights on carbs, electrolytes, and caffeine – all backed by hard numbers. Day 1 itself was a powerhouse, covering a whopping 88km of the 70.3 course followed by a challenging run off the bike. The evening potluck brought everyone together, with Coach Julia delivering a valuable talk on "Preparing for the Swim," while Coach Kevin tackled "Tips on Climbing, Descending and Gearing" on the legendary Duplessis Hill.
Pushing Limits and Refining Skills:
Day 2 saw us back on the bike course, putting the newly acquired climbing, descending, and gearing skills to the test. With tired legs, campers showcased their grit by tackling 1-3 repeats on the course. After a quick check-out from the accommodation, it was time to hit the lake. Coach Klara led skill and drills sessions, helping campers refine their swimming techniques before they tackled a longer swim.
A Celebratory End:
The camp drew to a close with a well-deserved celebratory meal followed by a comprehensive camp debrief. It was a high-energy farewell for an exceptional week!
Good Luck, Racers!
We wish all the Tremblant 5150 and 70.3 racers the very best of luck for June 22nd and 23rd! Look for Coach Gabi in the team area with our tent – she'll be cheering you on Sunday after completing the 5150 on Saturday.

A year ago I could only tread water and had not run since childhood. With the amazing Virtual Olympic course, support, guidance, and tips from of all the folks at Team Triumph I've ended the season with my first Olympic distance triathlon under my belt and am hooked! Really looking forward to the 2025 season and even to the hard work over the winter to prepare. Karen Houle
I wanted to let you know that the Perth triathlon was a great experience, I somehow placed third in my age group! What a supportive group of participants (including Team Triumph athletes), cheering bystanders and volunteers.
Thanks to your swim lessons, I learned the technical basics and gained confidence to get back in the pool after decades. And it was really special doing this with Ann Laidlaw, my bestie for many years. We did a couple of additional swims with Kevin and Team Triumph people, also a great way to continue learning and practicing good technical form.
I will continue with lane swimming and who knows, maybe there's another triathlon in my future!
I love the accountability and the structure of the Virtual 70.3 Half Ironman training program. I don't think I would have gotten this far without the program. The accountability is huge for me!
