What an incredible weekend of racing for our Triumphers, both near and far! We had an amazing crew of new and seasoned athletes taking on challenges in Cornwall and Wasaga Beach. It was another hot weekend, but our athletes showed their grit and determination, pushing through the heat to achieve some outstanding results.
In Cornwall, some of our members even brought home the coveted maple syrup prize—how fun and unique is that? A special shoutout to Deborah Jackman for being the ultimate support crew and cheering squad, lifting everyone’s spirits and energy!
Meanwhile, across the globe in Lithuania, I took part in the popular Vilnius Swim Marathon at my favourite spot, Green Lake. This event featured a range of distances, attracting swimmers of all levels. We decided to make it an aqua-bike kind of day, gravel riding to and from the lake. It turned out to be perfect training for my last triathlon of the season coming up next weekend. If you ever find yourself in Lithuania, this event is a must—fun, challenging, and set in the beautiful surroundings of Green Lake!
Back on home soil, we’re gearing up for another big weekend as the graduates of our Olympic Distance Triathlon program prepare to tackle the Canadian Triathlon. We’ll have our own designated rack in the T Zone, and Coach Gabi will be there offering last-minute tips and encouragement. If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time! Head over to our Facebook page and let us know if you’ll be joining. To all our graduates and other members competing this weekend—good luck! YOU’VE GOT THIS!
A huge congratulations to everyone who raced last weekend—stepping up to the start line is an achievement in itself, and we’re so proud of you all!

A year ago I could only tread water and had not run since childhood. With the amazing Virtual Olympic course, support, guidance, and tips from of all the folks at Team Triumph I've ended the season with my first Olympic distance triathlon under my belt and am hooked! Really looking forward to the 2025 season and even to the hard work over the winter to prepare. Karen Houle
I wanted to let you know that the Perth triathlon was a great experience, I somehow placed third in my age group! What a supportive group of participants (including Team Triumph athletes), cheering bystanders and volunteers.
Thanks to your swim lessons, I learned the technical basics and gained confidence to get back in the pool after decades. And it was really special doing this with Ann Laidlaw, my bestie for many years. We did a couple of additional swims with Kevin and Team Triumph people, also a great way to continue learning and practicing good technical form.
I will continue with lane swimming and who knows, maybe there's another triathlon in my future!
I love the accountability and the structure of the Virtual 70.3 Half Ironman training program. I don't think I would have gotten this far without the program. The accountability is huge for me!
