The weekend was filled with challenging weather conditions, but that didn’t stop Team Triumph from showing up and delivering incredible performances across multiple races!
Eren Perez: You Are an Ironman!
A huge congratulations to Eren Perez for completing her first-ever Ironman at Ironman Wisconsin. Despite facing crazy winds and cool temperatures, Eren executed her race to perfection. She started strong in the swim, maintained discipline on the bike by pacing herself to conserve energy for the marathon, and ultimately delivered an outstanding performance, passing eight athletes in her age group during the marathon to cross the finish line!
This season alone, Eren has completed the Boston Marathon, IM 70.3 Mont-Tremblant, IM 70.3 Muskoka, and now IM Wisconsin. Eren, your dedication and talent are truly inspiring. We couldn’t be prouder of you!
Esprit Triathlon, Montreal
Meanwhile, over in Montreal, athletes braved freezing temperatures at the Esprit Triathlon. The weather was so cold that wetsuits were mandatory for competitors on Sunday. In the Olympic Distance race, Karyn Houle from our Olympic Distance Group Program completed her first triathlon despite the chilly conditions. Kudos to all the athletes who powered through the elements and made it to the finish line!
Vilnius Marathon, Lithuania
In contrast to the cold races in North America, it was a hot and sunny day in Vilnius, Lithuania. Our Director of Logistics and Humour, Martin Couet, represented his NATO unit at the Vilnius Marathon, volunteering at a water station in the morning and participating in the 10km race in the afternoon. Great work, Martin!
Camp Tri Results
Our athletes had a strong showing at Camp Tri despite the weather. Congratulations to all our participants for their grit and determination! Special shout-outs to:
Challenge Montreal Esprit Triathlon
In another event at the Montreal Esprit Triathlon, more Team Triumph athletes pushed through tough conditions to achieve impressive results:
A Big Congratulations to All Our Athletes!
Despite the unpredictable weather, Team Triumph athletes showcased their strength, determination, and resilience. Whether it was cold and windy in Wisconsin and Montreal or hot and sunny in Lithuania, we are incredibly proud of every athlete who competed this weekend. Keep pushing forward and chasing your goals – the best is yet to come!

A year ago I could only tread water and had not run since childhood. With the amazing Virtual Olympic course, support, guidance, and tips from of all the folks at Team Triumph I've ended the season with my first Olympic distance triathlon under my belt and am hooked! Really looking forward to the 2025 season and even to the hard work over the winter to prepare. Karen Houle
I wanted to let you know that the Perth triathlon was a great experience, I somehow placed third in my age group! What a supportive group of participants (including Team Triumph athletes), cheering bystanders and volunteers.
Thanks to your swim lessons, I learned the technical basics and gained confidence to get back in the pool after decades. And it was really special doing this with Ann Laidlaw, my bestie for many years. We did a couple of additional swims with Kevin and Team Triumph people, also a great way to continue learning and practicing good technical form.
I will continue with lane swimming and who knows, maybe there's another triathlon in my future!
I love the accountability and the structure of the Virtual 70.3 Half Ironman training program. I don't think I would have gotten this far without the program. The accountability is huge for me!
