5k Race

"Had a wonderful time at the 5k fundraiser run for Special Populations! Flirted with some cute Cape Coral Firefighters and danced with some great walkers and volunteers. Managed to come FIRST in my age category out of ONE! I am stiff competition for ...myself!! 28 minutes... Needed to reapply my lipstick at the finish line! 💄💄!!"

Fundraiser for youth music scholarships

Explanations (excuses!):

*It was HOT at 8:00 A.M. !

* my piercing toe cramp 7 K

* I was trying to keep up with a man 10 years older than I am who told me he would run with me for a while because he was recovering from an injury........he was at a 5.7 min/km pace for me but I was tired at 5K and told him to please go ahead.......couldn't even see him in a few minutes!!

*MOST problematic and distracting was the fact that my sunglasses kept sliding off in the heat AND my running pants kept falling down !!😂

I did manage to place 3rd out of 9 but there were SO many fast Club runners in their 60's and 70's ....AND the 70-75 female winner was ahead of everyone in our age group 65-70! SO inspiring!"

Margaret King has crossed the finish line at the Boston Marathon! Congratulations Margaret, we look forward to hearing your report. Scott Henry placed 9th overall at the MEC 10 miler race in a time of 1:04!! That's 4 mins per km.... Yeowzah that's fast!


Starting in May we start shifting outdoors! On Friday, May 5th we will have our 1st group ride and potluck lunch meeting. We will look at the dates and start planning out the Friday rides for Summer!

This year we have come up with an amazing DEAL!!! An all inclusive Summer membership which runs from May to September. The membership will include Monday Meech Lake swims (July-Aug), Tuesday and Thursday morning clinics and workouts (May-June), Friday Long Rides (May-Sept) and Canterbury 6:30am Wed morning swims (Juyl-Aug)!!


We are back to the pool this week for our Spring Term! The Spring Term continues until the end of June. During this term we focus on speeding up your stroke and preparing you for race season! REGISTER NOW!!!
