HARRY BRIGGS CONQUERS THE RIO GRAN FONDO

AT THE RACES....

What a beautiful weekend to be outside! The Gatineau Park loop is all clear now and was filled with smiling faces this morning. Congratulations to everyone who participated in the various events on the weekend.

Lucie Villeneuve was at the Toronto Half Marathon and placed 1st in her age category.

Louise Lewis ran the 10km Wakefield trail run with friends, Laurent Lenert was in the same race with a scorching fast pace that earned him a 1st place in his age group and 10th overall. Darcy Yee did the very hilly half marathon trail run and placed 3rd in her age group.

Today was an amazing day for the CN Cycle for CHEO. Emily Graves completed her 1st cycling event while Anna Belanger and Steve Rathwell completed the 70km ride.

Meanwhile in Mallorca, Pauline Lynch-Stewart, Janet Whitley and Renee Robert have been conquering the mountains on their bikes with what looks like an amazing trip. Coach Maggie and I got a nice note from Pauline to thank us for all of the tough spinning classes that got her to the top of the Formentor ride and through elevation gain rides of 1500-2000 meters!

Harry Briggs was in Rio and did an 85km epic Gran Fondo cycling event there that took him from the ocean straight up with a 1971 meter elevation gain in 33 degrees heat! He was proud to be sporting the new Team Triumph cycling socks!

Well done everybody!!
